A long-cast composite spool is supported by centrifugal breaking and adjustable free spool to provide outstanding casting performance and line control. Oversized machine cut bronze gearing provides maximum longevity, and when combined with a counter-balanced power handle, effortless cranking power. A Teflon impregnated multi-disk drag system supplies silky smooth drag pressure which is controlled by an easily accessible star drag. While a simple dependable ratchet and pawl anti-reverse system is utilized to ensure maximum reliability. At the very core of the TD Hyper is Daiwa's HVF Nanoplus technology. HVF Nanoplus combines precise resin control with unidirectional graphite fibre to produce a blank with maximum graphite density and a light responsive action. Blank performance is further enhanced courtesy of X45, by eliminating twist and preventing the blank from losing its round form, X45 allows a lighter a small diameter blank to be made, and lighter more dynamic rod to be created.

Lightweight Fuji Concept O guides help the blank to maintain its action, while Fuji Aluminium Oxide inserts provide superior casting performance and line management. Next generation comfort and control is delivered through new ergonomically designed grips and the integration of Air Sensor reel seats. This results in reduced weight while maximising balance, feel, and sensitivity.
